COQUITO by Don Q Rum

16 oz ……………………………….. DON Q CRISTAL

2 cans ……………………………… COCONUT CREAM (30 OZ.)

1 can ……………………………….. SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK (14 OZ.)

1 tsp …………………………………. VANILLA EXTRACT

1/8 tbsp ……………………………. GROUND NUTMEG

1/4 tbsp ……………………………. GROUND CINNAMON

Bunch ………………………………. CINNAMON STICKS

Mix all ingredients in a blender at high speed. Refrigerate for a couple of hours. Shake well before serving. Serve cold in a small glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

I know it’s Christmas when the Puerto Rican coquitos are flowing at my parents’ house. I’m never one to shun rum, particularly Don Q rum, but try the coquito with brandy. So, so good (and I’m not a brandy drinker).
