But seriously, my manicure is red, I wore braids and a matching headdress for the better part of today. I would’ve worn it out to dinner, but apparently it wasn’t appropriate. It didn’t stop me from basically reciting this verbatim at dinner (and then ordering the least-pilgrim-y course on the menu).

Restaurant Thanksgiving was lovely. I enjoyed turkey for the first time in my life (and when I say I enjoyed, I mean I fucking loved that bird) and I also ate lobster macaroni and cheese and all the trimmings (best part of Thanksgiving anyway). I still found a way to have three drinks in front of me at once and then got all teary that what if I marry someone and spend Thanksgiving with his extended family and not on vacation or at a restaurant that has free range turkey with my immediate family? (To which instead of taking a glass of something away from me, my mom topped off my glass of malbec and told me I’ll always have a choice.)
